The Friends of Blake Museum are delighted to partner with Bridgwater Town Council to help ensure the museum can open to the public and share its collections.

We are also encouraged by the strong collaboration with the council, which will be strengthened further by the appointment of a Museum and Heritage Officer.

A word from us…

The Friends of Blake Museum greatly value our partnership with Bridgwater Heritage, whose support and guidance on local history are invaluable. We are also grateful for the content they provide for use on the Friends website.

A word from them…

The Bridgwater Heritage Group website was founded by the late Dr Peter Cattermole in October 2012. It was re-formed in March 2016 and is intended to complement the work and collections of the Blake Museum, and the work of the Bridgwater and District Archaeological Society, the Bridgwater and District Civic Society and the Friends of the Wembdon Road Cemetery. We welcome contributions from local historians.
